Mallard Pointe
Mallard Pointe is a proposed sub-division development of single family homes, du/tri /quad-plexes, and an apartment building on a 2.75 acre site across from Belvedere City Hall with a number of proposed homes fronting the lagoon.
The City is the lead agency overseeing permitting of the Mallard Pointe project. The process also involves collecting required permits and approvals from the California Water Board, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, as well as other State and Federal agencies that have jurisdiction over the lagoon waters.
Interested members can view more information on the City of Belvedere’s website.
Because the site includes property on the lagoon and 900+ linear feet of lagoon shoreline — approximately three football fields — the BLPOA Board is actively monitoring development plans and providing feedback to protect the lagoon during proposed demolition and construction.
BLPOA’s Areas of Responsibility:
The impact of site demolition and construction (drainage, etc.) on the lagoon water, and any impact to water quality.
Repair and maintaintenance of the bulkheads along the 900+ feet of shoreline.
BLPOA membership and participation for future property owners and/or tenants of Mallard Pointe properties on the shoreline.
The BLPOA Board has been working with the developer of Mallard Pointe during the permitting process to provide guidance and ask questions related to our areas of responsibility.
