Approved Watercraft
To promote safety during all seasons, the BLPOA permits a limited set of watercraft types on the lagoon.
Lagoon Approved
Sail-powered mono-hull boats up to 15’ in length (e.g. Lasers, Lido 14’s, Sunfish);
Limited multi-hull craft (the Hobie Bravo sailboat and Surf Cycles pedal water bike);
Manually powered craft: row boats, kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), and pedalboards (e.g. Hobie Mirage Eclipse).
Flotation devices (water trampolines, lily pads, boogie boards, and inflatables). These must be attended and secured near the owner’s property, and be removed at night.
Not Allowed
All kiteboards, kitesurfing boards (aka Directionals), or wind-driven foils, including kite foils and windsurfing foils;
All motorized watersports products and watercraft, including but not limited to: mechanized tow ropes/winches (e.g. Kraken), e-foils (aka Fliteboarding), personalized ski craft (e.g. Solo), power boats/barges/rafts.
Note: The BLPOA maintenance barges and the third-party chemical applicator boats are the only exceptions to motorized craft on the lagoon.
Please put your boats and flotation devices away at night.
All watercraft must be stored on docks when not in use and never left in the water unattended or overnight.
Please never tie anything to the white numbered racing buoys.
